Problem

The Influence Volume defines the area around the Probe in which reflective Materials use the results that the Probe captures. Currently one can choose between a box or a sphere shape in HDRP.

Feature

This feature is adding support for convex volumes to more easily map a convex area using a single reflection probe.

Benefits

Benefits are easier authoring (no need to place multiple reflection probes and manage the blending), improved visual quality (no artefacts due to approximating a convex volume with a box, no blending by not using multiple probes), and better performance and memory (by using a single probe instead of multiple ones to map such areas).
