Summary

We will further optimize The Scriptable Render Pipeline (SRP) Volume system for better memory efficiency and CPU performance.

Intended Outcome/Use Case

The Volume System is an intuitive workflow for configuring area-based effects in different Scene parts. Each volume contains Scene setting property values that an SRP interpolates between, depending on the Camera's position. However, they come with additional performance impact, especially on the lower-end spectrum of hardware platforms.
We will improve the Volume system to reduce the performance impact depending on your project setup. We will also provide an update frequency option so you can fine-tune the performance further based on the needs of your project.
