Our team
Unity’s Insights team is made up of game industry veterans and experts from across the globe. Together, we’ve worked on some of the biggest games worldwide - from indie to AAA.

Franco Spina
Having studied Game Development in Edinburgh, Franco interned at a local start-up called deltaDNA in 2013 and helped define and deliver their game design consultancy offerings. Fast forward 10 years and Franco now leads the Game Consultancy and Analytics team at Unity, providing clients with premium analytics support and best practice game design advice through evidence-based research, extensive playtesting, and data analysis.
Areas of expertise: Game teardowns/deconstructions with actionable insights and data backing, game design best practices (retention / engagement / monetization / social / IAP / ads / microtransactions / DLC / UI/UX), social casino, RMG, gamification

Emory Irpan
Emory got his start making games in Macromedia Flash way back in elementary school. Prior to Unity, he worked on AAA franchises including Call of Duty at Activision Blizzard and The Sims at Electronic Arts. He has helped both big budget studios like Bethesda, and indie hitmakers like InnerSloth (creators of Among Us) develop and operate their live games. His work in the industry landed him on the Forbes 30 under 30 games list in 2021.

Morgan Hughes
Remember when computers didn’t have hard-drives? No? Oh, OK. Morgan has worked in and around games for a long time – from behemoth publishers to a start-up of five people – and now is at Unity helping studios make great games.

Kristofer McClelland
Starting his career in games at Edinburgh-based start-up deltaDNA, Kris has worked alongside some of the biggest names in the mobile gaming space, providing advice and consultation to help make games great. At Unity, he supports studios through the entire game-lifecycle, helping to optimize KPIs for a successful game. Let him know what keeps you up at night when developing and running your game – and it'll keep him up at night too.

Pierre Katkoff
Pierre was part of the initial five person publishing team which grew to 120+ people at Green Panda Games before being acquired by Ubisoft in 2019. Pierre juggles product management, game design, and data analysis in multiple genres and now he is helping studios analyze and operate their game at Unity.

Fernanda Gonzalvez
From a small indie studio to a AAA company, Fernanda has spent the past five years trying to understand what makes a game successful. She has helped product and design teams at Big Fish Games and Product Madness with feature and design recommendations and provided analysis on the landscape of the gaming world for the leadership team at Aristocrat. Unfortunately, her skills at analyzing games don’t translate into being good at playing them, in her free time she will happily be the worst player in League of Legends or spend all her money on a new expansion pack for The Sims.
Areas of expertise: Market analysis, game competitor deconstruction, casual and social casino games.

Brent Kawaguchi
Brent brings with him a decade of experience in the gaming industry in customer success, live operations and product development. He has extensive experience running live mobile games while at Kabam to console games like the NBA 2K franchise at 2K. Now he uses his vast industry experience to help other developers optimize their live games and user experience.
Areas of expertise: Live operations (mobile and console games), 4X strategy, casino, sports games, production, user experience, feature optimization

Christian Hebert
Christian brings with him over a decade of experience in the gaming industry with expertise in live operations from Kabam, Gaea, KIXEYE, and Machine Zone. He has worked on a plethora of top grossing games, improving monetization, retention, and engagement KPIs. Recently, he has been working with play-to-earn studios to manage the complexity of juggling blockchain technology with traditional gaming infrastructures. In his free time, Christian is no stranger to competitive FPS games and putting way too many hours into Lost Ark.

Nathan TenBoer
Nathan has nine years of experience in data analytics, focusing mainly on live mobile game management and optimizations. At Unity, he has driven several market facing insights content releases while also providing support to Unity customers. Lately he has been playing Shop Titans, RL Sideswipe, and Elden Ring.
Areas of expertise: Game economy teardowns, consumer insights/benchmarking, AB testing, data analytics/reporting

Arjun Gohil
Arjun entered the gaming industry when he joined Ubisoft as a data analyst, where he worked on live dashboards to measure the development progress of AAA games and player retention. From there, Arjun moved to Electronic Arts as a BI engineer to lead initiatives with product managers, such as building internal reporting tools and automating data aggregation for live player engagement and analytics. Now at Unity, he uses his experience to work on optimizing ad revenue and in-app payments for gaming publishers. In his free time, he has been playing Elden Ring, The Outer Wilds, and Cricket 2022.

Glenville Pecor
Glenville graduated with a degree in game design engineering and has been working on video games ever since. Prior to his work at Unity, Glenville has worked in the roles of IT, QA, and engineer, and all this past work in college and his career have helped shape him into the technical partner manager he is today. Glenville used to be a part of an eSports team for Overwatch, and he helps run a community to spread positivity and love through video games.
