Visual scripting is available as a regular package in Unity 2021, visible in the Package Manager, and available by default with new projects.

Preferences have been integrated to regular Unity preferences and defaults updated. Additional sources are provided, documentation has been updated. Workflows have been adjusted for clarity and unification with other tools.

Visual scripting in Unity 2021 supports migrating projects including graphs designed with Bolt from the Asset Store in previous versions of Unity, confirming our intention to support the very fast growing community of users into the future of visual scripting in Unity.

Visual scripting workflow has been optimized to maximize productivity. Graph editor, blackboard and graph Inspector have been consolidated into a single window, Units are generated automatically the first time the graph window is opened, AOT pre-compilation is automatic.

Visual scripting provides dedicated support for the new Input System. Units need to be regenerated after having added the Input system package to get the new nodes.
