Full details on pricing tiers and points per task will be released with an upcoming “Preview” release after the beta (free points) phase is complete, but we are offering the basic structure here for your feedback. We would love to hear your ideas on how it should be structured, or any feedback on the naming and descriptions here, for example the use of “points” vs. something like “credits”. The business model uses Unity Points which are spent on various AI tasks within the Assistant and Generators, and the points cost per action is always previewed to the user before points are spent. The Inference Engine remains free and does not consume points.

You can buy points in two different ways that we hope offers flexibility for a wide range of studios. All points will be pooled at the organization level, allowing the flexibility for any org user to spend them as production cycles and needs change among Unity users. Here are the two ways to acquire points:

1. Monthly: Monthly points will be included in Unity Pro, Unity Enterprise, and Unity Industry paid plans at no additional cost, and Personal/Student users will have an optional, entry level subscription to monthly points. These points expire and refresh monthly, and do not roll over. The tiers are as follows on a per seat basis: Personal/Student: ~200 AI tasks for an optional $10/mo upgrade (or $80/yr) Pro : ~300 AI tasks included Enterprise : ~400 AI tasks included Industry : ~500 AI tasks included

*Note: We may add additional/higher Monthly points tiers for Personal/Student users if there is demand for them.

2. One-time: One-time points will be additional points that any users (regardless of your Unity license) can buy if you run out of monthly points. They offer bulk purchasing for creative and productivity bursts, and expire after a year for more flexibility. They will be available in a wide range of sizes from $20 - $5,000 and offer increasing discounts (i.e. cheaper price per point) at higher prices. “Managed” studios (those who have a dedicated Unity client partner and bill through invoices) can buy one-time points in much larger quantities if desired.
