App Session

What are App Sessions?

The number of app sessions measures how frequently users interact with an app. Higher frequencies mean users are more engaged. Tracking app sessions helps app developers better understanduser engagementand app experience, as consumers are more likely to reuse apps they enjoy or need. Measuring app sessions is a useful indicator of an app’s overall popularity and performance. App developers can improve the number of app sessions by making the app experience more appealing, engaging, habitual or necessary for users. Getting users to open an app more frequently can be achieved by contextual push notifications, offers, discounts, and updates about new features. These can be enhanced by presenting limited-time offers, or adding conditions that require users to open the app. However, app developers should be wary of using push notifications too aggressively, since this can irritate users and ultimately turn them off.
