What? AI model training involves feeding curated data into the algorithm to help it refine its production of accurate outputs. Today, this technical process requires nuanced machine learning knowledge and typically involves a hosted training server and some hosting fees for cloud computing. We would like to offer a local Unity-based REAL-TIME solution for training that is easy for ML nonexperts and free. Unity does offer ML-agents as a solution for reinforcement learning training, but we would look to support more broad use cases.
Why? Local training is inherently slower than cloud-based training, but users have told us they would love to have the option when time allows and to save money. They would especially appreciate a nontechnical solution.
