Choose the right Unity 6 release

With Unity 6, our release model ensures consistent quality and stability across every version. We continue to provide Long Term Support (LTS) versions, and are introducing Update releases (Supported) to deliver new functionality and platform support more quickly, while enabling smoother upgrades between Unity 6 versions.

Unity 6.3 LTS is supported with two-year LTS until December 2027, with an additional year of support for Unity Enterprise and Unity Industry subscribers.

Unity 6 is the latest family of releases of the Unity Engine, and is designed to be stable and supported over an extended period, minimizing the cost and risk to upgrade.

We will continue to provide Long Term Support (LTS) versions (e.g., Unity 6.3 LTS), and have introduced Supported Update releases (e.g., Unity 6.2) to deliver new functionality and platform support more quickly, while enabling smoother upgrades between Unity 6 versions.

After extensive consultation with our games community and customers, we’ve canceled the Runtime Fee. This means that there will be no runtime fee associated with games created with Unity 6. Unity 6 is the most stable and performant version of Unity to date, and we want everyone to be able to access it without hesitation. Learn more here.
